Effective January 2014, 3 new active learning classrooms will be in place in Ellis Hall. Construction is taking place this summer and fall. The classrooms are designed to encourage different types of learning and each has varying levels of technology.

International award recognizes outstanding teaching
John Smol recently received the Ramon Margalef Award for Excellence in Education from the Association for the Sciences of Limnology and Oceanography (ASLO), the same organization that recognized his research excellence five years ago.
