Site Header and Address

Only users with the Site Administrator role can access the settings to update the site header fields and footer address.

Updating the site header and address

Update the Appearance settings to change your site's title and address

Follow these steps to update how your site title appears in the header area. Note: If you are changing the site title, it's a best practice to keep the title consistent with the site name (the site name appears in browser tabs and search engine results). You can request changes to your site name by submitting a request form

  1. Navigate to Appearance
  2. In the WebPublish 3 Basic (default theme) section, click "Settings"
  3. Update the "Faculty Name" field to change how the title is displayed on your site's header. 
  4. Scroll to the bottom of the page and click "Save configuration"

 

WebPublish 3.0 allows you to add a link to your site's header area, to create a connection to a top-level site. This is helpful for sites like research groups and labs, who wish to create an association to a parent site.

  1. Navigate to Appearance
  2. In the WebPublish 3 Basic (default theme) section, click "Settings"
  3. Use the "Back To Link Text" field to add the text that you'd like to appear on the link
  4. Copy the live URL of the site that you'd like to link to on your header into the "Back To Link field"
  5. Scroll to the bottom of the page and click "Save configuration"

Follow these steps to update the address that appears in the footer of your site

  1. Navigate to Appearance
  2. In the WebPublish 3 Basic (default theme) section, click "Settings"
  3. In the address section, fill in: 
    • (required) Location Name
    • (required) Address Line 1
    • (optional) Address Line 2
    • (required) City
    • (required) Province
    • (required) Postal Code
    • (required) Country
  4. Scroll to the bottom of the page and click "Save configuration"

 

Follow these steps to update the address that appears in the footer of your site

  1. Navigate to Appearance
  2. In the WebPublish 3 Basic (default theme) section, click "Settings"
  3. Use the "Faculty/Department Phone Number" field to update the phone number
  4. Scroll to the bottom of the page and click "Save configuration"
